​Alene Danby

Alene is a native of Blacksburg, Virginia and a graduate of Virginia Tech. She spent 20 years as a Real Estate Broker and business-owner in Northern Virginia before relocating to her hometown. She began preparing taxes in 1996 and successfully managed a major tax service in Blacksburg.

She enjoys reading, golfing, spending time with friends and family at the beach, and hanging out with her three wonderful and talented grandchildren. 

Chuck Freer

Chuck was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina into a military family. He is a graduate of Blacksburg High School and served in the US Army for three years, including a tour in Vietnam. He is a graduate of the Police Academy in Richmond and received a Police Science degree from New River Community College. He was Head Teller at the First National Exchange Bank before joining the Virginia Tech Police Force, where he served for 28 years. He has spent 20 years preparing taxes and successfully co-managing a major tax service business in Blacksburg.

Chuck enjoys reading, spending time at the beach, hanging out with his two beautiful grandchildren, and cheering on the Virginia Tech Hokies.
